  一、说教材

  1.教材的地位和作用

  当今社会的发展,人们物质生活达到一定水平后,人们追求文化生活的提高,因此,各国新的主题公园不断的建立,在一定意义上,体现了人类文明。主题公园作为目前社会人们选择的主要休闲、娱乐方式之一.本主题是一个非常贴近生活、具有时代性、可深度挖掘的教学主题。本单元通过THEME PARKS---FUN AND MORE THAN FUN和FUTUROSCOPE---- EXCITEMENT AND LEARNING两篇文章,回绕Theme parks这一主题开展听、说、读、写多种教学活动。单元语言素材涉及摩天轮、旋转木马、过山车、蹦极运动、自由落体车、赛车等娱乐方式及各类主题公园内容,具有典型的时代气息,有利于学生了解生活、运动与休闲,了解中外文化,增强世界意识,有利于培养积极的生活态度。对本单元的教学,我们可以从学生身边的或熟知的主题公园谈起,帮助学生对这一话题有比较全面的了解。

  In Warming up and Pre-reading part,先以图片呈现不同风格的主题公园、引起学生兴趣,然后提出问题,便于学生小组讨论。

  Reading是一篇介绍主题公园的说明文内容有趣、易于理解。作者不仅讲述了主题公园与普通公园的异同以及各种类型的主题公园。SEFC高一下有一篇关于介绍主题公园为主的文章,NSEFC中的这篇主题公园,除了介绍以外,还指出了人们不仅可以在主题公园中使自己身心放松并得到娱乐,同时还可以从娱乐中获得知识和必要的体验。我们引导学生了解和比较不同主题公园的特色后,激发学生联想主题公园的未来发展,鼓励学生自行设计公园的主题活动,鼓励学生积极想象、培养创新能力。

  学生在本单元的学习过程和开展的小组活动中,除了增长语言知识、提高语言技能外,更要拓展文化视野,发展跨文化交际的意识和能力;并且结合个人经验充分体验他人在个别主题活动方面的感受,加强合作意识、陶冶情操,提高自身素养。

  从素质教育的要求和学习语言得目的来看,高中英语教学重视培养学生运用英语进行交际的能力。根据英语课程标准的要求,应重视培养学生的口语表达能力,体现英语教学的交际性、得体性、准确性和实践性。因此本节课教学应着重培养学生熟练运用所学功能用语谈论主题公园话题的能力,为语法学习打下基础。

  2.说(阅读课)教学目标的确立及其依据

  由于本节课是介绍主题公园的概念以及世界著名的主题公园的阅读课,因此本课的

  (1)语言知识目标是:明确主题公园的概念,了解世界著名的主题公园,掌握娱乐项目及有关主题公园的词汇(文章中黑体部分)

  (2)能力目标:是在围绕主题公园的话题,在连贯的听读说中训练学的逻辑思维能力和快速反应能力

  (3)德育目标:引导学生了解主题公园及其他相关户外活动,理解其主题内涵;激发学生热爱生活,积极进取,合作创新。

  3.说重点和难点

  本节课的重点是让学生理解主题公园的概念以及世界著名的主题公园

  话题: Talking about theme parks.

  语言: amuse, amusement , variety, various, shuttles, charge, admission, profit , sourvenir, brand, sneaker, come to life, minority, fantasy, get close to

  难点理解是主题公园是娱乐,又不仅仅是娱乐二.说教法

  教法的选择是课堂教学成败的关键。阅读课侧重学生分析概括能力的培养,因此选择使用启发式教学法,在具体教学中以情景教学法为主,充分利用直观教具和多媒体手段给学生以直观生动的体会,培养学生直接用英语理解、表达和思维的能力。让学生积极参与,充分调动他们的学习积极性,以有限的课堂为载体,带学生进入广泛的知识天地。

  三.说学法

  本课内容是主题公园的概念以及世界著名的主题公园,因此在教学过程中指导学生谈论方位时五官并用,比较归纳,强化记忆、发现学习,培养学生的观察力、记忆力、想象力、思维能力。

  四.说教学程序

  本课通过Lead-in 、Skimming 、Scanning 、Discussion、Summary五步骤培养学生的分析和概括能力。

  Teaching procedures

  The First and Second Periods Warming up , Pre-reading and Reading

  Step 1 Lead-in

  Show some pictures of “ Bungee jumping” “Roller-coaster rides” “Free-fall rides” and ask

  “What are they ?” “Where can you see them ?Then introduce Theme Park.

  *What kind of park is it, a traditional park or a theme park?

  Learn some new words:

  1.At the entrance gate: admission by ticket only.------They’ll charge you for admission.

  2. Inside the park:The theme parks provide us with a variety of things to see and do, including rides,boats, a Ferris wheel, a roller coaster , merry-go-round, slide, bumper car,etc.

  3.----What can remind you of your visit several years later?---- Photos and souvenirs

  4. They make a profit by the charges for admission and by selling souvenirs in their shops.

  Step 2. Warming up Cooperative discussion:

  1. Have you ever been to some parks?

  2. What will you enjoy in the park, in your opinion according to the pictures?

  ( sit chatting,play chess,play games, listen to birds’ singing or just relax a bit.)

  There are many kinds of parks in the world.Look at the pictures of some world parks in your textbooks and imagine what you may do there.

  1. Predict : Read the title and the pictures on P. 34 and Predict

  What is the meaning of the title “Theme Park – Fun and more than fun”?

  (The title means that theme parks are fun to visit, but that they can also be educational and can offer useful information.)

  2. Skimming Fast read and answer:

  What activities can we take in a theme park?

  3.Scanning Read again and you will find various theme parks are mentioned in the passage . Then what are they ?

  4.Careful reading and find the main idea of each paragraph:

  Para.5 Disneylandwas the first theme park. It is based on the fantasy life and characters of Disney’s films.

  Para.6 Some examples of educational theme parks include sea world parks and science parks.

  Read para. 1 Q: 1.What do parks provide people with ?

  (Parks provide people with a place to amuse themselves and to escape their busy lives for a while.)

  2. Do theme parks have a certain idea ?

  (Yes,they do. Theme parks have a certain idea that the whole park is based on.)

  3. What’s the oldest theme park in the world ?

  (The oldest theme park in the world is Disneyland.)

  5. Read through the last four paragraphs and find the theme parks mentioned and then fill in the form below.

  Discuss three purposes for building theme parks and then fill in the form below.
